flowers in shadow

once upon a time....
i walked the streets of an old town, Montreal,
finding small, crowded dusty bookshops the most pleasing
form of escapism...
i trawled around hoping to find something..
and i discovered an old botanical journal
or nature love story

the subtle, detailed reflective pages
are dreamy and nostagic
a romantic essay into the
form and line of nature...
i will look again...more deeply...

new worlds : rekindling the flame

This blog has been slightly under utilised throughout the
finishing phases of my Masters writing...
i think due to the huge amount of time
computing and analysing
i shied away from thinking
in the computer shpere...
BUT
I am keen to keep this blog afloat with
imagery and ideas pertaining to
the representation of nature, plants, abstraction
and interconnected things visual...

meanwhile...
lately I have had the
utter privilege to spend time in the company
of this beauty...
a fine specimen of the Illawara Flame Tree
(Brachychiton acerifolius)...

ode to red
the heart
the fire and the return of the passions
and the rekindled flame...
